Nestled in Midtown Manhattan, **Devoción** has emerged as a standout coffee shop dedicated to the art of brewing. This space offers an inviting haven for coffee lovers, boasting a beautiful ambiance characterized by golden hues and lush greenery—a perfect backdrop for both busy professionals and coffee enthusiasts. Patrons rave about the unique pour-over options, especially the **Citrus** and **Las Rosas**, noted for their vibrant, complex flavors. Renault Young described the Citrus as “limey with subtle sweetness,” while Leandro Mendoza Castro emphasized the joyful combination of Colombian coffee and music, creating an emotionally charged experience. Devoción's commitment to freshness is commendable; they actively print roast and green dates on their beans, distinguishing themselves amidst the myriad of options in New York City. Each sip reveals a meticulous approach, especially in their espresso selections like the **Gesha De La Palma** and the **Toro** cold brew. Customers also highlight the pastries, particularly the guava and chocolate croissants, which provide delightful accompaniments to their buzzing coffee culture. With consistently warm service and an atmosphere that encourages lingering, Devoción invites you to appreciate the nuanced flavors of Colombian coffee in a community-focused environment. If you seek an exceptional coffee experience, look no further than this Midtown gem.

Two great pour overs. They gave us 3 mugs to split it 3 ways. Taste notes for Citrus: wow very limey and subtle sweetness. Taste notes for Las Rosas: some floral aroma; cherries and milk chocolate.

your coffee and music combo is out of this world! Every sip takes me straight to Colombia, with a burst of flavors and tunes that light up my senses. It’s like an explosion of emotion on my palate and in my ears. Thank you for elevating Colombian coffee to such amazing heights!

Devocion’s commitment to coffee is what first drew me in. The clarity with bean freshness, printing both roast and green dates, is a rarity, in a city crowded with “third wave” spots serving year old la colombe or supermarket grade lavazza. It’s a quiet nod to those who know that beans need time to degas and develop—some in days, others over weeks—to reveal their best flavors. At home, my beans rotate between Devocion, Sey Coffee in Brooklyn (for ultra-light, Nordic-style roasts), Oren’s near Columbia (an old-school roaster), and the Red Brick bag from the UK via Black Fox. Devocion isn’t my favorite, it’s not single origin as well, but it’s always reliable. Toro is my go-to for espresso and cold brew; Honey is floral, sweet, perfect for pour-overs; and Sombra is a dark, familiar comfort. Their Midtown location hits a rare balance: golden hues, wood tones, high ceilings, and greenery. The space attracts both Wall Street suits and coffee geeks, and manages to feel natural for both. It’s one of the few places in Midtown I actually want to stay in for hours. Pastries are quietly excellent. The guava croissant is vibrant and unexpected; the chocolate croissants—especially the pan de chocolate—are rich, layered, and frankly better than what you’ll find at more hyped names like La Cabra or Radio Bakery. The staff are consistently warm, and the entire experience just flows. I genuinely hope it continues to be recognized for what they are: places where people care deeply about what they serve—not just spaces trying to monetize caffeine and vibes. You can feel the difference in every detail.

Genuinely really great coffee. Been x2 with strong happy impressions of my iced lattes. A good amount of seating inside, but almost always busy. This place is popular, I think, for good reason. Note tho: they were light on my friend’s milk in a macchiato, because they’re so busy, I think they make some mistakes in preparation

Nick Rodriguez and Mark found me my new Favorite coffee : the sparkling cascara. cold-pressed fresh coffee cherries and antioxidants. It’s delicious light and refreshing without making me jittery. Overall they are super sweet. Highly encourage this Devocion- amazing coffee, staff and ambience.

My absolute favourite coffee shop! The coffee is delicious - both when you order in or if you buy their beans for at home caffeine. The baristas go above and beyond to wish you a great day and are always patient (even with the craziest orders). Finally, the guava croissants are a highlight pastry if you're feeling hungry! They will also give you a fresh one straight from the oven if the timing is right. The ambiance and seating space is fantastic, with wifi provided and a bathroom if needed. Highly highly recommend for anyone and everyone.
